Cory L. Webster

Cory is a skilled litigator, practicing in both appellate and trial courts.  As a member of the firm’s Appellate, Writs, and Constitutional Law Group, Cory handles appeals and writ proceedings and frequently works with trial counsel both to secure victory in the trial court and to build the best possible record and frame issues for appeal.  In addition to his appellate expertise, Cory also has significant experience in a variety of substantive disciplines, including business, real estate, intellectual property, and eminent domain litigation.

Immediately before joining the firm, Cory completed a clerkship with the United States District Court for the Central District of California. As a law clerk, under the supervision of United States District Judge Dale S. Fischer, he advised and prepared draft orders for nine district court judges.

Cory earned his Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University School of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude and became a member of the Order of the Coif. During law school, Cory was an Associate Editor of the Pepperdine Law Review and authored the moot court problem for the National Entertainment Moot Court Competition. He also served as a teaching assistant in legal research and writing and appellate advocacy courses.
